Well, it’s coming up to the 2 week mark in Japan – I can hardly believe a quarter of my trip has passed so quickly. I feel utterly at home here in Japan and proud to be part of its academic community, even if only peripherally.
I want to put a big thank you out into the universe. I sense a great deal of both luck and synchronicity and I feel nurtured by good people with warm hearts. All around me I feel guidance and support and I’m very thankful. To the new friends who make eye contact and are searching deeply, the friends from the past who are eager to both open themselves to me and who ask me to do the same, and those who have simply shown up – arigatou! With each passing day I believe more and more that there indeed is a place for me in this world and I will do my best to actively participate in this short existence I am lucky to have been offered.
